Tweaking the Living Room
I don’t think any room, or house for that matter, is ever done. I’m constantly changing things, moving furniture to other rooms, adjusting my decor to meet my current needs–tweaking, if you will (I will!). Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been tweaking the living room.
Here’s what it looked like when Mick took the photos for our house tour.
Here’s what it looks like now:
See the difference? I added a yellow pouf and a couple of pillows in ikat fabric, all of which I’d been wanting for awhile. I loved the pop of yellow the lamp gives but thought I needed one more bit of it to balance the color in the room. Plus, I just love poufs. I’ve wanted one forever but could never decide on a color.

Now it’s much more cheerful.
Here’s the entry before:
I updated it by putting the stool that used to live by the chair under the desk and placing the second ikat pillow on top.
I also switched out the original bowl that had been on the table with one of my Catherineholm pieces.
Overall, I’m very happy with the changes, but don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll be tweaking the room again soon.
